InWood

Within the framework of the EU’s mobility program in Leonardo Da Vinci, we have carried out study programs in Europe for training professionals in cooperation with the Swedish Wood and Furniture Association. This project increased cooperation between the various training organizations and businesses in the European wood industry.

Background information:

Amledo & Co are coordinator of mobility for a wide range of Vocational training centres in Sweden all together about 50 colleges with fine woodwork training programs. We have EU Leonardo da Vinci funding for mobility of teacher (PROVET) and students (IVT) in fine woodwork training.

This project has been funded with support from the European Commission. This publication reflects the views only of the author, and the Commission cannot be held responsible for any use which may be made of the information contained therein.

We are looking for a host partner for Mobility of teacher (PROVET) in UK, Switzerland and The Netherlands.

A five days study visit (exchange of experiences) is great opportunity to create a good network with colleagues in Sweden and to set up cooperation for exchange of trainees and teachers with a wide range of Swedish colleges of excellence.

Program sample:

Day 1. Tour at you school, presentation of your training, presentations of the Swedish participants and their VET training and school.

Day 2 Work shadowing – the Swedish teachers work together with Austrian colleges. Presentation of the Austria VET system and work place learning

Day 3 Visit to companies (possibilities to talk about work place training)

Day 4 Work shadowing – the Swedish teachers work together with colleges. Exchange of ideas concerning training and mobility

Day 5 Evaluation and discussion of the learning during the week

The visit is funded by Leonardo Da Vinci (the European Union support program for vocational training) and we can send up to 32 VET teachers until 31 May 2013.

We pay all cost for travel, accommodation and subsistent for the participants. Possible dates March/April 2013. We can of course discuss the details and we are open for your ideas. We can in cooperation with Swedish schools offering VET in wood and furniture do the same in Sweden for any Austrian partner. We have already a very good cooperation with Germany and can give you references.

We also have LdV funding to send total 35 trainees for 3 weeks work practise until 31 May  2014.

Please let me know your thought and if you need any additional information.
