Meeting in Lissone
15th to 16th of May the second partnership meeting for the project Woodworkers Abroad took place in Lissone, Italy. The meeting was hosted by the Italian vocational school Istituto Seco Dario d’Istruzione Superiore. The project partners had since last worked to develop Europass mobility certificate supplements for secondary vocational education programs focusing on wood work in each country. This material is the first step in a comparative analysis of the Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Finnish and Swedish secondary vocational training for the wood and furniture sector, which the partnership will perform. The meeting program also included a visit to the Italian furniture and design company Riva 1920. They specialize in working with exclusive woods such as Kauri from New Zealand; these trees were buried in mud up to 50.000 years. Next project meeting is in Mikkeli, Finland in September 2013.
