Self-evaluation can be a powerful tool to develop individuals and organisations. All participants must approach the process with an open mind, and without motives or agenda. In our 20+ years’ experience of self-evaluation, we have recognised that quality enhancements can be developed, measured and implemented through a rigorous and validated process. Education Scotland are contracted by the Scottish Funding Council to monitor and continuously improve the quality of learning and teaching throughout Scotland. Reports are published nationally, to ensure transparency and to share good practice throughout the sector, says Colin Miller, Head of STEM and Employer Engagement and project partner.
Patrick Ärlemalm, Managing Director, Amledo & Co AB and project coordinator, added: “Self-evaluation by learners and their mentors is recognised as being very important in order to improve the quality of training, and we are encouraged by the progress that we are making with learners we have engaged with.”
