During the 23rd and 24th October 2013, the third partnership meeting for the project Woodworkers Abroad took place in Mikkeli, Finland. The meeting was hosted by the Finnish vocational school ESEDU. The result of the meeting was a model for a comparative analysis of the Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Finnish and Swedish secondary vocational training content for the wood and furniture sector. The model is based on The European Credit system for Vocational Education and Training (ECVET), which is a system for facilitate mobility of qualifications across borders and to support lifelong learning. Finland is in the forefront and will introduce the new system the 1st of August 2014. The next project meeting will take place in Valencia, Spain in February 2014. The Lifelong Learning program Leonardo da Vinci supported the project meeting.
